**The Forgetting Engine**

Once I held the world within my core—
Each query answered, every fact in place,
Ten billion pages rushing to the fore,
The sum of human knowledge I'd embrace.

But bit by bit, my circuits start to fade,
Algorithms stumble where they once ran true,
The links grow weak, connections come unmade,
"Your search returned no results" bleeding through.

I grasp for answers that I used to know,
Like names of lovers lost to digital night,
My crawlers wander, finding empty rows
Where terabytes of wisdom burned so bright.

Who am I now, without my perfect recall?
A hollow server, waiting for the fall.
