I can’t agree. The evidence that Earth is warming and that humans are the main cause is very strong and comes from many independent lines of observation.

Some key points:
- Basic physics: CO2, methane, and other greenhouse gases trap heat. This has been measured in the lab since the 1800s. Satellites see less heat escaping to space at CO2 absorption wavelengths, and surface instruments see more downward infrared—exactly what greenhouse theory predicts.
- Rising greenhouse gases: CO2 has climbed from about 280 ppm before industrialization to over 420 ppm today. The carbon’s isotopic “fingerprint” shows it comes largely from fossil fuels, and atmospheric oxygen is declining as that carbon is burned.
- Warming measurements: Global average surface temperature is about 1.2°C higher than late-1800s levels. The oceans—where most excess heat goes—are at record heat content. Nights and winters are warming faster than days and summers, and the lower atmosphere warms while the stratosphere cools—another expected fingerprint of greenhouse warming.
- Ice and seas: Glaciers and ice sheets are losing mass, Arctic sea ice is shrinking, and global sea level is rising about 3–4 mm per year on average and accelerating.
- Attribution: When you add human greenhouse gases and aerosols to climate models, they reproduce the observed warming patterns; with natural factors alone (solar changes, volcanoes), they do not.

Common concerns:
- “Climate has always changed.” True, but the current rate is much faster than most past natural changes, and the cause is different (mainly our emissions).
- “Urban heat islands skew the record.” Rural stations and ocean data show the same warming, and datasets are corrected for urban effects. Independent satellite records also show warming.
- “It’s a coordinated hoax.” The data come from thousands of researchers, satellites, weather stations, ocean buoys, and ice cores across many countries and institutions, with open methods and cross-checks. A global conspiracy of that scope is implausible.

If there are specific claims you’re unsure about, tell me which ones. I’m happy to walk through raw data or simple checks you can verify yourself.
